Fibenare Guitars’ exhibitions at Frankfurt and NAMM
Fibenare Guitars is a Hungarian luthier company established in 1998 by the three Benedek brothers. They all have musical backgrounds, first in studying classical music, then, later on, they began taking an interest in rock, blues, and jazz music. And along with this came the electric guitars. Because of the Iron Curtain, it was impossible to get your hands on a nice guitar in Hungary at that time, so the brothers were urged by their father to build their own guitars. During the years, the hobby turned into a profession, and now they have a thriving business and are displaying their craftsmanship at guitar shows around the world.
Their philosophy is: “Constructing and manufacturing high-grade quality hand-crafted guitars to create an individual world of sound.”
In these two videos, some of Fibenare’s beautiful, hand-made guitars are presented at Musikmesse 2011 in Frankfurt, and the NAMM show in Anaheim.

Sanden Guitars Fuzz Guitar Show 2011 Interview
At the Fuzz Guitar Show 2011 in Gothenburg in June, Vintage & Rare were fortunate to have the opportunity to speak with Michael Sanden, founder and co-owner of Sanden Guitars. Also, we got a live demo from the show of the Sanden JRB-b-hm, Homesick Mac Baritone Signature guitar by Homesick Mac himself.
Sanden Guitars are Gothenburg based luthiers. They pride themselves of having very high standards and being very particular about the materials they use – they are selected and purchased personally. Michael Sanden started building guitars in the early 80s and was schooled by Bozo Padunavac and Georg Bolin. Since 1983, Sanden Guitars has been a member of “Guild of American Luthiers”, and Michael Sanden received his Master’s Certificate in guitar craftsmanship in 1996. Up until a few years ago, all sales took place through the company itself, but they now have dealers in England and Italy. They relocated to Gothenburg in 2010 and have taken in a new co-owner, Olle Nilsson. To help promote their guitars, they have professional guitarists Homesick Mac and Emil Ernebro.
Please have a look at Sanden Guitar’s profile at Vintageandrare.com, where you can also see their guitar production line.
Here, Michael Sanden talks about their different models, which are mostly steel-string guitars:
