Ibanez 4 string Basses For sale
Ibanez guitars have perhaps one of the most colourful histories of all guitars. Ibanez guitars were first produced in 1870 in Spain as the result of years of dedication and hard work by Salvador Ibáñez, for whom the company was named. The guitars were desired around the world and were so shipped internationally, and when the Ibanez factory was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War and most of its skilled workers were killed, Japanese company Hoshino Gakki stepped in. The Hoshino company bought the trademark and continued making Ibanez guitars, attempting to duplicate the craftsmanship of the original models. Since 1957, all Ibanez guitars have been made by the Hoshino company.
The Ibanez name bears a multitude of models, from the economical GIO series to the now-discontinued Artist Series. The Ibanez UV7 was the first mass-produced 7-string guitar, which drew a great deal of attention due to the increased range that it offered musicians.
Eric Clapton and Julian Bream have both played original Ibanez guitars, and Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and the members of Meshuggah all play on a post-1957 Ibanez.
