Washburn Classical Guitars For sale
You would be hard-pressed to find a guitar more synonymous with blues music than a Washburn. When the Delta Blues was first emerging as a new, raw form of music, Washburn guitars were the first on the scene, largely due to location. Founded in 1883, the Washburn factory could be found on Maxwell Street, the first stop for those arriving in Chicago from the Mississippi Delta. Washburn guitars have since moved far beyond their blues-inspired roots and are now being embraced among artists in country, punk, and heavy metal genres as well.
Washburn makes a variety of electric solid-body guitars, ranging from the thin-necked WV40V (the Washburn interpretation of the Flying V) to the more traditional Idol series, which has the classic look that most people expect from a Washburn. The scale length for almost all Washburn electrics is 24.75”, giving these guitars a rich, thick sound when played.
Paul Stanley of KISS, the late Dimebag Darrell and Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme are just two artists who swear by their Washburn guitars.
