The Ventura puts out a refreshingly authentic mix of crunchy, sweet and rich sound that's equally faithful to British and American influences. It's crisp and detailed tone that breathes with a richness we usually only hear from old amps in great condition. The layout is straightforward - only three knobs. The clean side is warm and round, and the dirty side can provide some grit for every hue of blues and rock. This is a no-nonsense amp that's ready for the stage and studio alike. Item Details This 65amps Ventura 1x12 Combo is a 20-watt amp that features a Celestion speaker, EF86 tubes (12AT7 on the dirty end of things), and three simple controls: volume, tone and master voltage. The master voltage control lets you reduce the voltage and output of the amp, which means you can play at lower volumes without sacrificing the harmonic richness we associate with pushing amps to their edge. The passive FX loop will let you add effects to the signal without sucking out all your tone. There are two channels, clean and dirty. The "bump" is a nice addition. It can work in conjunction with any channel, for a total of four unique amp sounds to work with. The combo construction removes the headache from performances and recording - grab this amp, and you don't really need anything else. This is a deceptively simple amp that'll function in a variety of musical styles, whether that's on the stage or in the studio.
