Aristides 010 Aluminum
The Aristides 010 is a beautifully designed 25.5 inch scaled electric guitar. The 010 is made out of a one-piece-construction of Arium, handcrafted in the Netherlands and equipped with Seymour Duncan Pickups TB-5 (bridge), APS-2rwrp (middle) and the APS-2 in the neck.
Due to its dynamic character the Aristides 010 can be used for almost every style of music.
For this special finish a spraying technique is applied similar to that of the 010 Gold. This technique enables spraying of metal particles onto the Arium body. The use of metal particles mean that the finish gets a natural look after exposing it to the elements
One Piece Construction
The flying heel joint, an ergonomically shaped, smooth transition from the neck to the body, which is possible only in one-piece-construction neck designs, allows unhindered playing of the highest frets.
Arium: Ultimate Sustain & Resonance
The cell structure provides a great resonance and an even greater sustain. The sustain from the low E string is easily 45 seconds (!). After each string impact, the one-piece design vibrates with maximum intensity and allows each tone or chord to fade away very slowly and continuously. Arium vibrates three-dimensionally, which does not only extend the sustain considerably, but also enhances the acoustic sound volume.
The Aristides 010 is specially designed by industrial design studio Bouwmeester van Rens which is specialized in product design and architecture.

Mission - Research
The mission started out with research into the material that has been used for instrument building since time immemorial: wood. Studies of different types of top quality wood led to a technical study of cell structures and the mutual differences between them. By answering the question, “What happens to a sound wave in a material at cell level?” it was subsequently possible to design the ideal cell structure.
It soon became clear that, if this material could be developed, it would have acoustic properties that no one would have thought possible before. The material would have the kind of resonance that even the best piece of wood in the world could only deliver in an instrument maker’s wildest dreams.
Fifteen years of research led to a tonematerial with amazing acoustic features. The possibility to build an one-piece construction combined with the unique cell-structure of the material resulted in a revolutionary property: the sound waves could resonate three dimensional without any disruption throughout the whole instrument.
The mission was accomplished and Arium is the result.
Aristides 010, 050 en 020
In January 2010, Aristides presented the 010 to an international audience at the NAMM tradeshow in Los Angeles. The first version of the 050 bass guitar was also presented at the same show. The new factory in Haarlem is currently in full production on the 010, 020 and 050.
The revolutionary Aristides guitars are made with dedication by carefully selected and experienced luthiers in our workshop based in Haarlem. The building process of our instruments is a flawless combination of conventional working methods and the advanced technology used to create Arium.
The process begins with applying layers of special materials done by a fully-trained guitar builder to protect the Arium. When every layer has the correct thickness the unique tonematerial Arium is added according to a unique and licensed method only known by Aristides and his master builders. After a refined surface treatment it getting prepared for the next steps in which we carefully apply the lacquer and install high-quality hardware and electronics.
