Two versions are available, the UBERSCHALL with it's traditional clean and super high gain channel and the TWIN JET with a semi clean to hot rod gain and super high gain channel configuration. While the super high gain channels are identical there is more flexability and control on the TWIN JET as well as a additional controls for the power amp section.
The Uberschall features a Classic clean channel with volume, gain, bass, middle, treble and presence controls. Pound all your pedal effects into this channel, the harder you hit it the more it smiles to show you its fangs. Seems pretty innocent huh? Just wait... we then unleash mayhem with the Five-Mega Ton SUPER AGGRESSIVE high gain channel with gain, bass, middle, treble, volume and presence controls. You think you've heard BASS before, no way, the UBERSCHALL will shatter your rib-cage, you better put 911 on speed dial! Even with extreme gain and volume this channel stays massively focused and resists mushing out from the heaviest right-hand attack. Have some other crazy effects? Put them through the Tube buffered effects loop. Power comes from a throaty EL34 output section. UBERKAB, The UBERSCHALL 4x12" straight speaker cabinet model features a black front speaker grill with silver piping and a combination of Celestion V30's and G12T75's wired at 8 ohms. In January 2009 the design was slightly changed, speakers are now front mounted and wired at 16 ohms. This combination unleashes the brutality of the UBERSCHALL amp, it helps to maximize the low end and give great cutting power to the mids and highs. A standard BOGNER 4x12" cabinet with V30's sounds great for the UBERSCHALL as well but we wanted to offer a cabinet that was fine tuned for the flame-throwing UBERSCHALL. Reinhold Bogner had been designing and building amplifiers long before leaving Germany in 1989. Moving to Los Angeles he quickly gained the trust of many influential players including: Steve Stevens, Dan Huff, Allan Holdsworth, Mike Landau and Steve Vai who sought out his skill at modifing and custom building their amps. Eddie Van Halen entrusted Reinhold to overhaul and revitalize Eddies #1 Marshall Plexi, Eddie was pleased. BOGNER AMPLIFICATION was born.
Reinhold would be pretty bored to copy the old amplifiers from the 60's and make them more reliable. Instead he comes up with his own designs which incorporate the feel and tone of the old designs but with flexibility unheard of. In 1992 Reinhold released the Ecstasy which was the beginning of a new class of boutique amplifiers.
