Initially, what is now the Cornell-Custom 80 amplifier, was a custom-built order for Eric Clapton. Its minimalist design, with only 3 controls (volume, bass and treble), provides a truly "plug and play" amplifier. With very few components in the signal path to corrupt the tone, its simplicity is its strength; the natural tone and response can only be a result of that no-fuss design. At the heart of the Cornell-Custom 80 are two Tone Tubby speakers enhancing its response thus resulting in the perfect Blues sound. If you are a Clapton fan, this amp can be seen and heard on several DVDs such as The Queen's Jubilee Concert, the Concert For George, John Mayall's 60th Birthday concert, to name a few.
