With its alder body and maple glued-in neck, the Lust For Life dares to be different. Broader front bevelling and rear waist countouring inject extra character.
The two "Classic77" humbuckers and the selected woods offer this guitar a long held-sustain. Amplified performance is equally up to pair in terms of ample output, while the neck humbucker delivers a smooth balance of woody bass and sweet-sounding upper ends. The bridge pickup enhances the middle frequencies, but nasal overtones are even more pronounced. Selecting both introduces a chiming ring into the aural equation, again supported by some beefy bass.
The guitar lives up to its name when it comes to getting dirty, with the twin-humbucker format supplying a more consistent and firmer-footed performance while retaining good definition when subjected to increasing doses of overdrive.
