It would be hard to have come up with a better name for this model. In the late 70s Gibson wanted to reestablish the Epiphone brand and mark a new beginning. They may not have been able to ressurrect the whole brand but they certainly built a killer playing guitar. Mutli-bound mahogany body finished in a nice tabacco styled burst. Medium/chunky neck profile for tons of tone. It is very resonant and has the trademark Gibson sustain thanks to the set in maple neck. We love the elongated Epiphone headstock design that results in the straighter path for the strings. Two medium output pickups with a coil tap switch. It has an attention to detail found on top of the line Gibson's like neck binding that is shaped along with the frets. Very nice touch. It is quite clean with average play wear.
