Player's Perspective Music Store Live is proud to present this 1965 Gibson Epiphone Riviera! Let's get something straight - this is a very resonant vintage guitar. This axe is simply overflowing with perfectly matured semi hollow vintage tone. Now that that's out of the way I can tell you about the neck and how that ranks at least a 9 on my "vintage neck feel-ometer". It's been played and worn in all the right ways. It's extremely comfortable and lightning fast at that. The pickups deliver a crystalline clarity, a hearty warmth and they sing with a ton of soul. This Riviera is one bad mother! Item Details This Sunburst 1965 Epiphone Riviera is all original with the exception of the additional Epiphone tremolo tailpiece that is installed. However, the original tailpiece for the guitar is included. The original PAF mini humbuckers sound excellent! The bridge pickup has had one coil rewound by Lindy Fralin himself. The pots date to the 33rd week of '65 and the original Sprague Black Beauty capacitors have not been touched or tampered with. Some stand out features on this axe include a maple semi hollow body, slim profile mahogany neck, bound rosewood fretboard, pearloid parallelogram inlays, body top and back binding, white Epi pickguard and Kluson Deluxe tuners.
