Player's Perspective Music Store Live is proud to present this 2006 Fender Custom Shop 1956 Relic Stratocaster! This Strat has a fullness of tone that is sure to please and it performs like a well kept vintage axe. The set up is very good for more of Blues and Country style at the moment - the action is medium / low - the strings have plenty of room to vibrate and sustain and even large bends ring for a very long time. The lightweight body makes for a great feel and the neck is spanky, responsive and comfortable. The pickups sound incredibly close to a real vintage Strat - they have a vocal like quality that is full and expressive. Overall, this is a very resonant Strat. It feels and responds like a real vintage axe that has been well played for years. Item Details The Fender Custom Shop has done a wonderful job "relicing" this 1956 reissue. It plays, sounds and feels like a vintage piece. The sunburst alder body is lightweight and resonates like an older piece of wood that has had the chance to dry out and fully cure over the years. The maple neck has a soft V profile. This axe is all original and retains its 3 way pickup selector switch. The Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups sparkle and sing like little angels. This beast comes with it's original Custom Shop G&G hard shell case and plenty of case candy ( trem arm, strap, back plate and extra spring, etc ). This guitar weighs 7.8 pounds. Serial # R28461 Overall Condition This 2006 Fender Custom Shop 1956 Relic Stratocaster is in excellent condition. The only sign of wear besides the "relicing" from Fender on this guitar amounts to a light finish scratch and some pick marks on the pickguard. The frets are still in excellent, almost untouched, condition. This guitar is still very much a young buck ready to be broken in. We've been really impressed with the '56 Custom Shop reissues we've seen. This is no exception - it's the rule. This body is VERY resonant. There isn't a Strat lover out there that wouldn't be able to gel with this vintage style beauty.
