This guitar is in a word, versatile. My guess is that there were some guys just hanging out at the factory one day and one guys says to another, "I wonder what a Tele would sound like if it had the capability of sounding like a D-28"? His buddy looks at him between bites of a tasty sandwich and goes, "Don't know. Maybe we can just add a Piezo pickup to it a find out". Yeah, that's probably the way it went down. "Hey Stan, (Fictional name) how about we give it top binding, contoured back (belly cut), 1 piece maple neck, abalone dot inlays, 3 Fender® Noiseless single coil pickups (T/S/T), Fender Fishman power bridge (piezo transducers in bridge pieces provides acoustic guitar tones, concentric knobs for volume and tone of magnetic and piezo pickups, stereo / mono and subsonic filter switches on back plate, w-b-w pick-guard, American Series tuners, 1-11/16" nut, 25-1/2" scale. What do you think"? 2nd guy (of course nameless) "That sounds good". Don't you see folks, that's what we do when we dream.
