Fender / Bassman / 1960 / Amp For Sale
Up for your consideration is this Fender Bassman.
This is a fantastic March 1960 5F6-A --truly last of the 4-10s --Fender Bassman with a bit of a story to it. I found it in a store way out somewhere in PA. The original owner bought it new, used it a few times, then put it away for the decades. Then much later, he gave it to his grandson, who didn’t like the yellowed tweed covering and stripped it off (aaaahhhhh!) Then he decided he didn’t like it anyway, and traded it in for a Peavey(!!) So it was bare wood when I got it. I had it professionally recovered and lacquered, so it looks much like the Victorias do. The only other thing missing was the logo, so it has a repro logo, and a reissue cover. I think it was regrilled, only because of tacks instead of staples. Certainly a good looking job, if that is the case. Everything else is original and super clean.
