Player's Perspective
Music Store Live is proud to present this Fender Pawn Shop '51! It's not quite a Strat, and it's not really a Tele. It's kind of like a cross between between the two, but with its own distinct voice and personality. Inspired by some of Fender's tonal experiments in the 60's and 70's, these Pawn Shop guitars offer the Fender fan a refreshing new take on great American twang. Tonally, this guitar has all of the classic Fender cleans and high-end sparkle we expect out of nice Strats and Teles, but with a bit more kick. It can provide some serious distorted tones as well, perfect for hot leads or dirty blues. The neck has the characteristic Fender comfort that companies have been trying to mimic for decades. Upper fret access is easy. If you want Fender quality on something a bit different, this Pawn Shop is the way to go.
Item Details
The Fender Pawn Shop ’51 has an alder Stratocaster body with a maple C-shape Telecaster neck. The fretboard is maple with 21 medium jumbo frets and black dot inlays. There is a Texas Special Single-Coil Strat pickup in the neck and an Enforcer Humbucking pickup in the bridge, which means plenty of clean shimmery twang and lots of crunch when you need it. The push/pull coil split gives you even more tonal options. The bridge is a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Hardtail, the nut is synthetic bone and the tuners are vintage style. Unlike a Strat or a Tele, the pickguard on this Pawn Shop extends all the way up to the upper horn. If you fused all the best parts of a Strat and Tele, you'd get something like this.
Overall Condition
This Fender Pawn Shop '51 is in brand new pristine mint condition with absolutely no nicks, scratches, or blemishes of any kind.
