A 1958 Fender Precision Bass! WOW! This amazing piece of history has it's anodized aluminium GOLD pickguard, which was only offered from mid '57 to '59. This is one of the early examples of Fender's new 3 Tone Sunburst finish, as it was introduced in 1958. The neck, pots and pickups all date to 1958, making this all original Fender P-Bass a historical masterpiece!
The Fender Precision Bass (often shortened to "P Bass") is an electric bass guitar and the first to be made widely-available. It was designed by Leo Fender and brought to market in 1951. It was a revolutionary instrument for the time and has made an immeasurable impact on the sound of popular music of the last 50 years.
