This great condition Fender Precision Bass has a S8 serial number that suggests it was made in 1978 but the pots, pickups and neck stamp date this bass firmly in 1980. The fretboard, frets and actually the entire neck look and feel as new. The 3-piece Ash body is finished black over an earlier Mocha Brown finish (as can be seen in some dents) but is factory original.
There are very few dings and scratches on this instrument apart from the obvious damaged area on the lower back. Apart from the Schaller security lock strapholders this bass is completely stock and we were probably the first people ever to even lift the pickguard.
The original case is gone but a new Fender/SKB type case is included with the sale.
