This is a very cool 3 owner Custom Colored Strat from Fender’s last & coolest period, right as Leo was selling his company to CBS, its Candy Apple Red Metallic finish is worn is so cool, its Gold Metallic undercoating is showing all over the body, mostly from normal arm wear, its got a killer Rosewood neck w/the last of the “Clay” Dot inlays dated January 1965, its just like we like them…worn from playing it smooth of all its lacquer & feels simply delicious, it also sports the last of the cool Green’gards & is loaded with 3 pencil dated gray bottom pickups & 3 pots all dated the 5th week of 1965, it is an unaltered Strat is every way, other than what appears to be the main volume pot has a few re-soldered connections, this baby is 100% & pure “BAD ASS” !, it is 100% all original & just the perfect custom colored investment grade axe for that collector/player, she’s excellent overall & simply a wonderful Strat, comes w/a period Black hard case.
