It's hard to overstate the playability of this guitar - it plays like an absolute dream come true. Any style of Blues, Rock, Country and Jazz play splendidly on this instrument. The feel is heavenly for heavy riffing, searing leads and noddling of any variety. Long drawn out bends sustain wonderfully owing to the resonance of this guitar and some excellent fretwork. Tonally, this axe is packing all of your favorite Strat tones ( without the hum normally associated with single coil pickups ) and then some. You can easily roll into heavy thumping humbuckerville on this beast with the roll of a knob. If you want to get down, down on the ground, the Eric Clapton Stratocaster is seriously where it's at. Item Details This Eric Clapton Stratocaster is bursting with character and some of that is no doubt owing to the fabulous Torino Red urethane finish. The select Alder body resonates very impressively and is perfectly joined to the maple neck. This neck features a soft V profile with a 9.5" radius, dot inlay, 22 vintage style frets and a nut width of 1.650". The active electronics spice things up dramatically on this axe but without making things complicated. The Active Mid-Boost ( 25db ) and TBX ( Treble Bass Expander ) circuits are wired to the tone control knobs making it easy as any Strat to operate but with a much larger result for your tone. With the combination of these tonal modifications a plethora of single coil and humbucking sounds are available from the same guitar. The Fender Vintage Noisless pickups ensure that all of these modes of operation are hum-free. Other fine features include a blocked American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo Bridge ( trem arm included ), Vintage Style Tuning Machines, EC's signature on the headstock and a Vintage Tweed hard shell case with Fender case candy.
