This is a heavenly reissue with tight bottom end, a snarling mid range and a spanky high end that will cut heads at every honky tonk in the land. The neck is perfectly sculpted, fast and comfortable in any position. The pickups sing like twangy little angels and this axe has an iconic resonant quality. Fender knocked it out of the park with this '58 Tele! Item Details 1958 was an important year for the Telecaster because that’s when slimmer necks started appearing on the instrument. Fender really went out of their way to capture the guitar’s prized signature twang which is why they stuck with the traditional string through 'Ash Tray' design bridge. This American Vintage ’58 Telecaster, finished in 2 color sunburst, harkens back to early 1958, when the Telecaster graduated from its original U-shaped neck profile—a real handful—to a still-large but more comfortable D-shape for its maple neck. Other spot-on early-’58 touches are here too, such as a lightweight ash body, staggered bridge pickup pole magnets, solid steel “barrel” bridge saddles, a single-ply white pickguard, “top-hat” switch tip, flat-top knurled aluminum chrome control knobs and more. This American Vintage '58 Tele come with a deluxe vintage brown hard shell case.
