If you have a need for speed, it can play as fast as you can without ever getting in the way of your playing. It is extremely smooth from all angles. It is also as tremendous sounding as it is comfortable to play. The tone is classic with all of the full bodied Tele flavor we love. It has a tight fat low end, radiant mids and a gleaming high end that will always cut through but without the "icepick in the forehead" tone that can be found on lesser models. The setup is excellent. The neck is straight, the intonation is right on the money and the action is set on the lower side. This is a whole lot of guitar for the money!

This American Standard Telecaster has some nice features to brag about. Starting with the Alder body and a brilliant Black finish, this Tele is a stunning guitar on looks alone. The grain shows tremendous depth and character. The maple neck features a maple fretboard with a 9.5" radius and 22 medium jumbo frets. The combination of the Fender Custom Shop Twisted Tele Single Coil Pickup in the neck position and the Custom Shop Broadcaster pickup in the bridge adds tons of glistening grit to this axe's stellar tone. An American Tele Bridge with standard bent steel saddles and a stamped brass plate also help this Tele to ring out loud and clear. The bridge is nicely complemented by the set of Fender Deluxe staggered tuners. This combo makes for rock solid intonation, tone and tuning stability. Other fine appointments on this model include a 4 bolt neck plate with Micro Tilt, hand rolled edges for a broken in feel and a thinner undercoat finish for improved body resonance. This American Standard Telecaster comes with a molded SKB hard shell case, Fender guitar strap and cable and owners manual.
