Here's how you create one of the best sounding acoustic guitars on the planet; First, you hogtie Ren Ferguson in a small room and threaten to not let him out until he comes up with a squared- shoulder design that's superior to anything else he's ever seen. When he spits that out at you, you immediately go on a quest for tonewoods and decide on AAA- grade Sitka Spruce for the top and AAA- grade curly Maple for the back and sides. You then combine hand- scalloped bracing, 9 coats of individually applied Nitro lacquer, and the assembly technics of the "old Masters" to create one of the richest, warmest and most resonant guitars ever to emerge from Gibson's stable of acoustics. This particular piece has been professionally set- up and plays effortlessly- the tone is nothing short of head turning and just to be honest, it's one of our favorite guitars. It's in exceptionally clean condition, having only a small spot of finish checking on the heel, as pictured below.
