On the rare occasions we get a limited Ace in here, we usually talk about the memories KISS brings back from our childhood or the emotions that a particular guitar may evoke. But in this instance, please allow me to deviate from the usual and talk about the guitar. To begin, it's a single owner, uncirculated piece. No Ebay auctions ran, no kooky Craigslist ads that in reality are for a Chinese Epiphone. Nope, this guitar is #186 from the run of 300 and in our small opinion, the finest example to become available in a nice, long while. The pickguard was missing from the package when we acquired it, so we included a gorgeous vintage ACE strap that we feel rounds out the package nicely as compensation. Besides, who would want to cover this top with a piece of plastic? Certainly not us! This is exactly the type of guitar that makes us smile widely (or grin) when we open the case for the first time and I sincerely hope that feeling never, ever goes away.
