This is a very rare Gibson EDS-1275 double neck SG model, in a very uncommon 60's style cherry sunburst that might be a custom colour. This is an iconic guitar, made famous by Jimmy Page, playing songs 'stairway to heaven' on his EDS-1275 but also by Don Felder playing 'Hotel California' on this marvelous instrument. It is this double neck model that would write rock and roll history and while Jimmy Page remains as the artist most closely associated with this model, over the years a host of other legendary guitarists Like Don Felder, Alex Lifeson and Davey Johnstone have incorporated the EDS-1275 into their own cache of guitars.
This EDS-1275 has a finish that sets its apart, maybe even makes it unique - a 3-tone cherry sunburst, not only on the top, but also on the back and along the double flamed necks towards the headstock(s), a very nice and perhaps unique custom features...! This is a beautiful instrument, and it's excellent to near mint condition also, a few tiny scratches and dings can be found on close inspection but overall unbelievbly clean, which is- to my humble opinion even a greater quality for a vintage & collectible instrument. Although it made name in the late 60's early 70's, this still crazy double-neck was introduced for the first time in 1958(!) This guitar is built to last, with mahogany 2 piece body, double flame-three piece maple neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with double trapezium inlays, 4 patented humbucker..
