Here it is! A FIRST YEAR ES-335... An original "Dot Neck"... With the legendary "PAF" pickups... One of only 267 made in 1958... It really doesn't get much better than this, she plays like a dream, sounds like heaven and looks like a legend.
Summary
Body: Semi-hollow maple
Neck: Mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard with dot inlays
Pickups/Hardware: Two humbuckers, three-way pickup selector switch, and independent tone and volume controls
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has light checking all over. The body has a few dings and scratches, but nothing severe. Cracks in the finish have also caused additional finish wear. The neck has several spots of finish wear in the back from dings and scratches, but is still solid and doesn't have any flaky ends of clearcoat. The headstock looks pretty good and has just a bit of finish wear along the edges. For a '58, this one is gorgeous!
Modifications: The tuners, neck pickup ring, and bridge have been replaced. The original bridge is included. The pickup covers have been removed and re-attached. A wooden reinforcement has been put around the jack from a previous repair. The electronics are all-original with PAF pickups.
