Gibson / L-10 / 1936 / Guitar For Sale

Instrument sold

1936 Gibson L-10 Sunburst: The 17" Gibson L-10 was instroduced in 1934 and discontinued a mere 5 years later making it the rarest of the Advanced body archtop models. Built on the same platform as the L-5, this model features the responsive and highly sought after X-braced top which was available only during the mid to late-'30s. What sets this model apart from its L-7 and L-5 siblings is the ornate checkerboard binding and opposing arrow inlay which makes the L-10 unique and instantly recognizeable. The tuners have been changed at some point and the finish on the sides and binding have been "touched up" but the playability and tone are everything you could imagine. Grab this while you can because you aren't likely to find another any time soon. With hard shell case.
