We are proud to present this unique guitar: a true 90's monster top! 1994 R9's are very hard to come by because so few were made. The first 200 were painted by Tom Murphy, and even though this one is not within that range, it does have an INSANE color that truly takes the flame to the next level. It's probably a faded heritage cherry (who knows?).

And what can we say about the top... As many of you know, the 90's are considered the "good wood years" in the Historic era, with outrageous planks of maple used in many R8's, R9s and R0s. This one is truly one of the best examples of those years, a "monster top". And SO tridimensional. Yeah, the term "monster top" has been misused most of the time, but this is clearly not the case (judge for yourselves!). We've only had another monster top apart from this one, ever (I mean, a "true" monster top). They're very rare. We've known this one for years, from back when it belonged to a collector from Hong Kong, and we almost can't believe it's in our hands now!

Very balanced weight of 8lbs 12oz (3977 gr). Excellent overall condition. In fact it looks perfect at first sight, but there are some dings here and there upon close inspection, especially on the back. The most relevant of all would be a chip near the edge, close to the lower strap button. The top is quite clean, except for a couple of minor dings. Quite minor stuff for a 20-year-old guitar, but it's there. It has very, very light buckle marks, but they're nowhere close to worming or reach the wood or even the paint in any way. It's very superficial, only seen when you tilt it certain ways. Again, the guitar looks amazingly clean, and it's hard to find any imperfections without looking closely.  It definitely won't let you down in any way (sound, playability, top & condition).

Electronics are original. Pickups and caps were replaced but original 57's and capacitors are back on. It includes the original brown Gibson logo case with pink interior, in excellent condition. Original frets are in great condition and show very little wear.

A very collectable guitar, a true 90's monster top. Ahh, those good ol' times!

In the last few years, online sale for musical instruments has experienced an amazing growth, but has passed right through the pre-owned market (that is, in Spain), limiting it to specialised forums and private owners. This is why Guitar Giraffe was born, the first physical and online second hand guitar and amp store (we like to call it "pre-owned", since we see a big difference between both terms), with a clear commitment of giving new options to guitarists locally and worldwide. Pre-owned guitar stores, so common in UK and USA, were practically nonexistent in Spain. We’ve wanted to fill that empty space by becoming the first physical and online store in our country focused on pre-owned guitars and amps.
