Gibson / Les Paul Standard / 1952 / Gold / Guitar

This will really blow you away… This is a STUNNING original and RARE all gold 1952 Gibson Les Paul Standard + OHSC and tags It is probably the cleanest one you will see in the world and was just recently prised from the inner sanctum of a vintage guitar dealer who was just it's second owner.

It comes with the original Glieb brown/pink hard case plus the tags you can see pictured. There are just slight areas of wear, mainly on the underside edge of the fingerboard (see pictures) plus a few small dings here and there but overall, I doubt very much if you will ever see a cleaner, all gold version of this 1st year Les Paul Standard...

It was for years part of a vintage guitar dealer’s own collection, or inner sanctum. This dealer bought the guitar from George Gruhn in Nashville, the day it arrived from it's original owner - in 1983!! He liked it so much he kept if for himself vowing that if a better one came up he would buy that and sell this one. Well many thousands of guitars and 32 years later a better one failed to materilize and I managed to prise this amazing guitar off of him recently...

It is hardly played, everything is original, frets have just a small amout of wear. It plays like butter and sounds as sweet as honey. No really… it does! There are many dodgy, old and not brilliantly set up 52 gold tops out there this is not one of them and if you are going to play it, you will find it is a joy to play.

The all gold versions of the goldtop are rare to come across, it is not known how many were made but there can’t be many that exist in this spectacular, original condition with no greening anywhere. Have a look at the many photos on here or on my website as they will tell the full story.

This must be a mid-late 1952 model as it is transistional features and parts - bound fingerboard but still has hex tuner ferrous, no serial number, shorter style knobs etc. Guitar is a lovely balanced instrument and weigs in at just 3.8Kg

VERY RARE to see an all gold as good as this if you are a serious collector looking for a ’52 goldtop it doesn’t get much better than this...
