World reknown guitarist for The Cars, Elliot Easton approached the folks at Gibson about having a custom SG model made for him right about the time that they were starting their Inspired By series of models.  The basis of Elliot's design is the SG Custom with two pickups instead of the standard three-pickup configuration.  Wanting to capture the groovy '60s vibe he chose Pelham blue for the finish, complemented by nickel hardware to sort of dress things down a bit, while retaining the bound ebony fingerboard and pearl block inlay.  The Elliot Easton SG also sports the Lyre vibrato tailpiece rather than the stoptail.  Although the vibrato itself is rarely used by players, this tailpiece adds an harmonic richness and overtones that simply cannot be produced by the stoptail.  To top off the visual coolness the tailpiece is engraved with a tiki image!  These are already hard to find and are sure to become highly collectable as time passes.  With hard shell case. $3000 USD Stock #UGB35158
