This is a spectacular all original SJ from Gibson’s last prime period, its Dark Sunburst finished spruce top is still very rich & unfaded by being stored for many decades away from the daylight hours, its natural see-thru finished mahogany back, sides & 1 piece neck are so clean w/out even the slightest weatherchecking, its wood grain pattern on the back appears to be made of Rosewood, it is that grainey, colorful & striped, its neck profile is slim feeling & comfortable, stamped a factory 2nd having nothing noticeable anywhere, typical of this period, its Kluson 3-on-a-side tuners, large period tortoise’gard & its original bridge are very clean & original, it has no cracks or any repairs from new & is near mint in all respects, its tone is what you’d expect from an SJ from this period, they don’t come any nicer than this, it comes with a newer padded protective soft case.
