Whether you fell in love with Tim Armstrong through Rancid or Operation Ivy or The Transplants, or maybe even through one of his many collaborations over the years, is inconsequential. What matters is how ridiculously sweet his signature series Gretsch guitar is. Tonally speaking, this beast is multi-dimensional with a big brash sound that always rings out loud and clear. While this is not your average Punk guitar, this axe is capable of producing deep and warm hollow body tones as well as biting crunch and pure overdriven evil. The neck is a joy to play with its smooth finish and easy profile. The setup is right on the money - the neck is straight, the action is low and the intonation is spot on. This beast shreds. Get some. Item Details This G5191BK Tim Armstrong Signature Electromatic Hollow Body is Black with a brilliant looking matte urethane finish. The body is made of laminated maple, measures 17" on the upper bout, 2.75" deep and is braced with parallel tone bars. The top features single ply bound F holes and an elegant 4 ply binding graces the top and back. The maple neck features a bound rosewood fretboard with block acrylic inlays, 22 jumbo frets, a 1.6875" nut width and a 24.33" scale length. The crowning jewels of this sweet axe are no doubt Gretsch's newly realized Black Top Filter Tron humbucker pickups. These pickups are spitting out gobs of raging rock and roll tone. Other fine features on this signature series guitar include gold plated hardware, a rosewood based Adjusto-Matic bridge, Grover tuners, a signature truss rod cover and a graphite nut. This guitar comes with a Gretsch soft shell case. Overall Condition This Gretsch G5191BK Tim Armstrong Signature Electromatic Hollow Body is in pristine mint condition with absolutely no nicks, scratches, or blemishes of any kind.
