The tone is full and very nice - it can go from dark and mellow to bright and cutting with some simple intuitive adjustments. If you're looking for a Gretsch that can cover all the ground between Jazz, Country, Swing, Blues, Rockabilly and Experimental Folk-Rock then you've just found your new axe. This guitar has impeccable fretwork - notes just jump right off the fretboard and it really contributes to the ease of playability. The neck is straight and the intonation is right on the money. This is a phenomenal playing guitar that covers huge ground. Item Details The Gretsch G6118 Anniversary was started in 1958 to commemorate their 75th Anniversary in business. Borrowing from the Cadillac school of design at the time, it featured a super hip two tone Smoke Green finish. This Gretsch has that classic two tone finish as well as a set of Filter Tron pickups, a "G" Cutout Tailpiece and Space Control Bridge. The hollow body design and neck are composed of maple and features an ebony fretboard with neo-classic thumbnail inlays and 22 frets. Other appointments include the "G" arrow control knobs, chrome anniversary headstock plate, green plexi pick guard and multi-bound body. Overall Condition This Gretsch G6118 Anniversary
