The sound is rich and full with a warm low end, lively mids and articulate highs. The body projects well enough to fill a room with sound, and the feel is even and consistent up and down the neck. This is one of those guitars on which you can really "hear the wood" in the tone. Some acoustic guitars four times the price of this one can't claim as much. As this guitar ages, it's going to mature tonally into an even richer, fuller sound. This guitar has everything you need in an acoustic - tone, feel, and a classic dreadnought style.
Item Details
This D-150 features a solid spruce top and scalloped spruce bracing. The solid Indian rosewood back and sides create a complex, dynamic sound that will work in any musical context. The neck is made of mahogany, and the fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. All of these great tonewoods make for a clear, balanced guitar that projects incredibly well. The Nu-Bone nut and saddle provide tuning stability and precision - you won't get those annoying pops and clicks when tuning. The slim profile neck is comfortable every ppsition for lead and rhythm. Other features include a 25 1/2" scale length, chrome die-cast tuners, black/cream/black purfling and ivoroid binding. This is a balanced, rich, and affordable take on the classic dreadnought style acoustic.
