This is a thorough, balanced take on the classic dreadnought style acoustic guitar, and it's ready for the stage and studio. The sound is rich and full with a warm low end, lively mids and articulate highs. The body projects well enough to fill a room with sound, and the feel is even and consistent up and down the neck. This is one of those guitars on which you can really "hear the wood" in the tone. Some acoustic guitars four times the price of this one can't claim as much. As this guitar ages, it's going to mature tonally into an even richer, fuller sound. The on-board electronics amplify the guitar without sacrificing any tonal subtleties, which simplifies the life of the performing acoustic guitarist. This guitar has everything you need for great tone and hassle-free performing. Item Details This D-150 features a solid spruce top and scalloped spruce bracing. The solid Indian rosewood back and sides create a complex, dynamic sound that will work in any musical context. The neck is made of mahogany, and the fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. All of these great tonewoods make for a clear, balanced guitar that projects incredibly well. The Nu-Bone nut and saddle provide tuning stability and precision - you won't get those annoying pops and clicks when tuning. The slim profile neck is comfortable everywhere and doesn't get in the way of your playing. The on-board Fishman Sonitone pickup makes it easy to amplify the guitar and still get real acoustic tone. Other features include a 25 1/2" scale length, chrome die-cast tuners, black/cream/black purfling and ivoroid binding. The single cut allows for easy upper fret access.
