Player's Perspective Music Store Live is proud to present this Guild D-40 Standard! Elegant, well balanced, slightly understated and warm as the day is long. This dread is all those things and many more. An exceptional player, the D-40 Standard is at once comfortable, utilitarian and bursting with rich Guild tone. The tone is quite balanced for a dreadnought. It has an ample amount of low end without being a bass monster. It's more balanced than a lot of dreads on the market and will record quite well. The high end is crispy and sweet. It's able to cut through without being harsh. The neck has a stately and elegant feel to it and plays superbly in all positions. This dread will surely please the every day strummer, flatpicker and fingerstyle player. Item Details This new Guild D-40 Standard is packing a host of features that make it a great selection for the advancing to professional player. The solid sitka spruce top features scalloped red spruce bracing and joins solid mahogany sides and back to form the basic composition of this dreadnought's body. The mahogany neck features a slim neck profile that is easy to navigate in any position. The rosewood fretboard features a 12" radius, 20 frets and pearl dot inlays. Other fine appointments on this D-40 Standard include a rosewood bridge, bone nut, Gotoh Die-Cast tuners and a slightly longer 25.625" scale length. This D-40 comes with a deluxe hard shell case.
