Fingerpickers, flatpickers and strummers alike will be happy with the feel of this guitar. The neck is comfortable in every position and will let you navigate chords and single notes lines with equal ease. You can really feel the wood resonate, which makes it easier to connect with the sound. This is one of the best dreadnoughts on the market today, and with time, it's only going to mature into an even richer, better playing instrument. Item Details This Guild D-50 has a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides and scalloped red spruce bracing, which make for a balanced, tonally complex sound. The slim profile mahogany neck has a rosewood fretboard with 20 frets. The satin lacquer neck finish over the slim profile neck shape creates one of the smoothest rides available on an acoustic. At 25.625" scale length, the D-50 has a slightly tauter feel that really makes notes jump off the board. The Gotoh Die-Cast tuners along with the bone saddle and nut provide tuning stability and precision - you can expect this dread to hold well, and you won't get those clicks and pops when tuning. Other features include ivoroid body binding, dual-action truss rod, chrome hardware, and pearl dot inlays. This guitar is a testament to the staying power of superb tone, straight forward design and easy playability.
