It's difficult to imagine a fuller, more complete sound than what a guitar with 12 strings and a jumbo sized body can produce. Guild has set the standard for 12 string guitars, and this 212 makes it easy to see why. The tone is golden and could be likened to that of a stage grand piano with a big, bell-like low end, singing mids and glistening highs. We're used to uncompromising playability from Guild, and this guitar shows that their dedication to a good feel doesn't stop at 6 strings. The neck is comfortable everywhere. Plugged in, this beast reveals itself to be a professional player's dream come true. The pickup system does a wonderful job of showcasing the stellar tone of the guitar, not the pickup. The single cut allows for easy upper fret access. Some 12 strings can be tricky, but this 212 sounds magnificent and will let you take it onto any stage or into any recording studio without any hassle. Item Details The features on this jumbo shaped Guild F212XLCE bring out all of the tonal subtleties of a 12 string and eliminate the problem of how to faithfully amplify those sounds. The top is solid Sitka spruce, the back and sides are solid mahogany, and the bracing is made from scalloped red spruce. These great tonewoods make for rich, balanced sound that projects everywhere. The rosewood fingerboard has 20 frets and a 12" radius. The Gotoh Mini Die-Cast tuners, bone nut and bone saddle work together to provide tuning stability and precision, which means that you won't have to constantly waste time tuning all 12 strings. The D-TAR pickup system sounds great and is very easy to use. It amplifies the guitar without sacrificing any of the tonal subtleties of the 12 strings. Other features include a 25.625" scale length, 1.8125" nut width, pearl dot inlays, bone bridge pins, and a dual-action truss rod. You won't a guitar with a stronger 12 string sound that amplifies so easily.
