This F-30R has the unmistakably full and balanced tone that Guild has been perfecting for over 60 years. The sound is strong and dynamic with excellent articulation, and the rosewood back and sides give the tone a rich and complex edge. Chords blend together beautifully, but each note retains its identity. Single note lines are focused and crisp. This is one of those guitars on which you can really "hear the wood" in the tone. The neck is comfortable everywhere, with a feel that will satisfy players of all different styles. As this guitar ages, it's going to mature into an even richer sounding, better playing instrument. Item Details This orchestra-style F-30R features a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, and scalloped red spruce bracing. The slim profile neck is also made of mahogany and covered with a satin lacquer finish that feels great. The fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. The amount of rosewood on this guitar gives the sound a distinct, complex characteristic that you won't find on many other guitars. The 1 3/4 inch nut is wide enough for advanced fingerpickers, but will keep strummers happy as well. The Gotoh Die Cast tuners along with the bone nut and saddle will give you tuning stability and precision. This guitar won't fall out mid-song, and you won't get those annoying pops and clicks when tuning. Other features include ivoroid body binding, dual-action truss rod, bone bridge pins, and pearl dot inlays. This is a great orchestra-style guitar that can showcase the powerful subtleties of acoustic music unlike any other instrument.
