The playability on this F-412 is uncommonly good for any 12 string. Every position is smooth, fast and has tremendous response to playing dynamics. The tone is golden and could be likened to that of a stage grand piano with a big, bell-like low end, singing mids and a glistening highs. Plugged in, this beast reveals itself to be a professional player's dream come true. Amplified, the pickup system does a wonderful job of showcasing the stellar tone of the guitar, not the pickup. Any way you look at it, this is an incredible 12 string and will suite the needs of many advancing and accomplished players. Item Details This jumbo shaped, blonde Guild F-412 has some great appointments. The figured maple back and sides - some of the nicest maple we've seen in a while - complement the spruce top very well. The 30' radius top features scalloped red spruce bracing. The binding work on the body and neck is flawless. The three piece mahogany/walnut/mahogany neck features a 12" radius ebony fretboard with mother of pearl/abalone inlays, 20 frets and a 1.8125" nut width. A set of Custom Gotoh open back 12 string tuners keep everything securely locked into place. Amplifying a 12-string can be a nightmare, but the F-412's intuitive DTAR pickup system doesn't sacrifice any tonal subtleties or harmonic overtones, and 2 volume controls let you eliminate feedback. You won't find a better sounding, better outfitted 12 string that amplifies so easily.
