The sheer amount of sound that pours out of this guitar will open your ears wide and drop your jaw down low. The tone matches the volume and is equally impressive - clear, warm and rich. There is a tremendous low end on this Jumbo - powerful and smooth. The mid range is clear and well pronounced. The high end is shimmery and smooth as well. The tone is actually fairly balanced for a guitar that puts out this much sound. As for feel, this F-50R is in its own luxury class. The feel of the neck finish and profile is great - it's very easy to maneuver between different playing styles and it's pretty fast. While lead playing is easy on this behemoth, but rhythm playing is equally inspiring. Chords simply explode off this guitar. Item Details The F-50R Jumbo, from Guild's Traditional Series, delivers a truck load of top shelf features starting with its AAA grade Solid Sitka Spruce top braced with scalloped Red Spruce braces. The sides and back are made from incredible looking solid Rosewood. The body measures 4.8" deep, helping to produce the F-50R's robust tone. The Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish really helps to preserve and showcase the high quality of these fine tone woods. The three piece mahogany neck features an easy to work with medium / fuller profile, an ebony fretboard and mother of pearl / abalone V block inlays. Gold hardware throughout the guitar, including the Gotoh open back tuners, adds to the luxurious vibe of this guitar. This is one of the best appointed and best sounding acoustic guitars we have.
