It sets the bar pretty high for the rest of the high end 12 string market that's for sure. The playability on this F-512 is uncommonly good for any 12 string. Every position plays smooth, fast and has tremendous response to playing dynamics. The tone is golden and could be likened to that of a stage grand piano with a big, bell-like low end, singing mids and a glistening highs. Plugged in, this beast reveals itself to be a professional player's dream come true. Amplified, the pickup system does a wonderful job of showcasing the stellar tone of the guitar, not the pickup. This is an incredible 12 string anyway you look at it and will suite the needs of many advancing and accomplished players. Item Details With a beautiful Antique Tobacco Burst finish, this jumbo shaped 12 string features all the bells and whistles and premium specs you could hope for. Starting with a solid AAA Sitka Spruce top and solid Indian Rosewood sides and back, the choice of tonewoods has been spared no expense here. The 30' radius top features scalloped red spruce bracing. The body and neck feature flawless white binding work. The three piece mahogany / walnut / mahogany neck features a 12" radius ebony fretboard with mother of pearl / abalone inlays, 20 frets and a 1.8125" nut width. The rosewood bridge features bone bridge pins to match the bone nut and a set of Custom Gotoh open back 12 string tuners keep everything securely locked into place. Other fine appointments on this F-512 include graphite reinforcement in the neck, a dual action truss rod, tortoise shell pickguard and a deluxe hard shell case.
