Now in Stock: Stefan Hahl Superdeluxe Gitano D-Hole

Custom options/Upgrades/Remarks:

Stefan Hahl Superdeluxe D-Hole. From the Hahl Website "This guitar might be considered the ultimate in nowadasy Gypsy guitar desigh. Powerfully voiced for captivating solos with well-balanced tonality for tight accompaniment, these instruments display visual authenticity and easily exceed today’s sound expectations. According to qualified sources, such as Biréli Lagrène, Hono Winterstein, Dorado Schmitt, etc., this instrument is in no way inferior to the original Selmer, On the contrary!"

Stefan Hahl is known to be the ultimate in Gypsy guitar design, and we traded this guitar from one of our customers who had it in consignment at Djangobooks. Michael from Djangobooks made a fine description -please read-in, or see him play the guitar. This guitar is special, and Stefan Hahl used a 60 year old Cedar top and 60 year old Brazilian rosewood to create this unique guitar. Also the 9 piece neck is of an amazing quality, with rare figured mahogany at the bases, flamed maple in the center, sided with maple and ebony, rosewood bound ebony fingerboard with multiple purfling in ebony and maple, with large abalone Diamond inlays, multiple-bound top and back, the arched top is decorated with a most impressive abalone and pearl block-inlay, the guitar is finished with a thin coat of nitro-cellulose, inside the guitar is varnished with Shellac.  The D-shaped neck is very comfortable neck with 44.6mm or 1 3/4" width at the nut, we heightened the action from 2.3mm to 3mm making still for a very low comfortable action, suiting this guitar very well since it is amazingly responsive. 655mm scale length, Brazilian rosewood bridge, with bone split -compensating- saddles, Gold-plated tailpiece with ebony inlays matches the gold Schaller tuners with ebony knobs.

This guitar is in near mint condition, meaning it is pre-owned, if you look closely you find a very small indention on the back of the neck, (pic) and with a magnifying glass you will find some angelhair scratches - but we have been able to polish of 99% of it and it's virtually new, there is no- or virtually no fretwear at all. The guitar travels in a deluxe Case.

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
