Joao Pedro Gracio Jr. / Guitarra Portuguesa / 1966 / Stringed Instrument
The Gracio family is perhaps the most respected maker of this style instrument in the world. Think of them as the "Martin" of Portuguese makers. The family has been making instruments since Joao Pedro Gracio Sr, began in the early years of the 20th century. Joao Pedro Jr. Was born in 1903 and made guitars until his passing in 1967. This is one of the last instruments made with hs label. The top is Spruce and the back & sides are figured Walnut. The guitar has a crisp tone with plenty of rich overtones to place it among the more exceptional examples of the Guitarra Portuguesa. With hard case. $1500 Stock#UGC34535
