A clean 1945-6 K&F (Kaufman & Fender) lap guitar. It is in original condition except for a period-correct set of tuning machines. The body is made of mahogany. There are a few small shallow splits in the wood (from dryness) on the top and back that add to the overall patina of the finish, but do not compromise the structural integrity of the instrument at all. Serial number 346 is branded into the end of the headstock.
The original direct sound pickup with strings that pass through the transducer's coil delivers a big fat sound. The cover plate on top of the pickup has a patent pending stamp. The two black bakelite knobs are original, and the lap steel comes in a hard, tweed case which we believe is the original case for this instrument.

Returns: REFUND & RETURN POLICY Instruments and amplifiers have a 48 hour approval period. Union Grove Music must be notified with in the approval period if the instrument does not be your expectations and you would like to return it. The instrument must be shipped back to Union Grove Music within 48 hours of requesting a return. The instrument must be shipped back in the original packaging in the condition the instrument was received; including any all papers, warranties and tags. The return shipment will be at your own expense. Once the instrument is received by Union Grove Music, we will refund the purchase price less outbound shipping and a 3% processing fee.
