This Mastergrade S50J custom. Made on our request with the illustrious Madagascar rosewood back and sides, not listed in George Lowden's 50 spec-list. Also features beautifully grained refined sounding Alpine Spruce top, both are selected Mastergrade (AAAAA) quality, meaning the best of the best -both tonally and cosmetically. Combine the unique Brazilian like from character- Madagascar to Alpine Spruce of a quality only George Lowden seems to be able to get his hands on, and you hold a Magic Celtic concert-quality guitar in your hands. A nylon string flattop- crossover, a little different from a Concert guitar, but performing on a similar level but made from a different perspective. Crossover guitars have smaller necks and are made for players used to play flattop- or electric guitars, are not made with a Spanish heel and are basically lighter built flattop guitars. But with excelling dynamics and the piano like expression. It opens up a whole new register, to those who need a fast neck and a solid feeling guitar.

This Lowden is equipped with flamed maple binding, and Flamed mahogany soundhole rozet, figured 5 piece Honduras Mahogany neck, ebony peghead, Maple-Rosewood-Redwood trim, Bound Ebony fingerboard with maple trim, beautiful adorned with Multi wood layer centre strip and purflings.
