Very rare Herringbone 000-28 from 1940! Adirondack spruce top, beautiful straight grain Brazilian Rosewood sides & back, Herringbone purfling, zig-zag back stripe, original pickguard, original ebony fingerboard, original ebony bridge (extra ebony added on the bottom), steel T rod in the neck, scallop bracings, replacement bridge plate, original tuners, 1 11/16" at nut, w/hard case. There are pickwear around the sound hole and upper right side on the top, one repaired crack on the back, but considering the age it is in an excellent condition. It is an original finish, but you can see light overspray on the top and the bottom. The neck reset has been done and it is comfortable to play. The bridge is an original, but a piece of ebony was added on the bottom to get the proper height and the bridge plate is the replacement. the sound is the wonderful vintage Martin sound you dream of! Sound is powerful and fat. It responds to even to the light touch. Great opportunity to get Herringbone 000-28 with the killer sound! Price: 2,550,000 yen + shipping & insurance
