For those of us who knew Clarence White, there will be few who could ever hope to bring to Guitar playing what he did. Books could be written about the quiet friend of ours and his unique style. But he also left us with a legacy. His unique Martin guitar, with its enlarged soundhole and the Gretsch fretboard that his friend Milt Owens installed, has in it self become a musical icon. C.F. Martin & Co, who made his original guitar, have studied the original until they were satisfied to introduce the D-28 Clarence White Commemorative Edition. Faithful right down to the "pepperoni" pickguard.  All of the elements including Adirondack Spruce top, 5/16" scalloped forward shifted X bracing, Rosewood back & sides and Waverly tuning machines have been combined to produce a wonderful guitar that Clarence would have gladly endorsed.
