Martin / D-28GE, Brazilian / 2002 / Shaded Top / Guitar

I don't know exactly on how I can explain this to y'all. One day, I'm listening to Kiss and Aerosmith and then, as if the cold hand of indifference merely brushed my shoulder, it's just like that I'm listening to Country. For those of you who do not follow Ray's and my shenanigans, let me tell you that we just love us some Kiss "Alive" like a hungry baby loves a titty bar. Then, as life would have it, I stopped by the local Target and bought me Jason Aldean's newest album at the time, "My Kinda Party." I used to think Country music was for that Pabst Blue Ribbon- drinking, fist fightin, beer drinking, pickup- drivin' hillbilly who lives in a trailer park. But what I found out was that this kind of music really speaks to me too. Like Aldean says, "It's not all porches and plows." This New Country is like throwing a rock band in the back with some Southern twang added up front. Sure, they still speak of loves lost and found, but they also sing about so much more. As you guys know, what's prominent to all of Country is an acoustic guitar. So, where I used to play "Stairway" on the acoustic, I now play "Dirt Road Anthem." Still cool, but just tailor- made to play all the way through on an acoustic and friends, this guitar sounds the sweetest. The neck feels as good as your first girlfriend's kisses and true connoisseurs know the intrinsic value of a Brazilian rosewood guitar. You know how rich the tone is and you certainly know on how articulate these instruments happen to be. 'Elks, I own more than a few special instruments that just speak to me and this could be your chance to have the same. Imagine yourself strumming this beauty, sitting next to your girl on a riverbank and looking at a star- filled sky in the middle of July. Hey, that's what they say in these country songs: They say "Don't miss your chance."
