Very rare 1968 D-45 in excellent condition. German spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood sides & back, replacement black pickguard, original ebony fingerboard w/hexagon inlays, replacement ebony bridge, replacement maple bridge plate, bracings scalloped, original Grover tuenrs (w/patent numbers), SQ neck (non-adjustable square rod in the neck), w/non-original hard case. This guitar used have larger bridge and you can see the trace and finish touch up around the bridge. The brdige plate was changed with the maple one. The bracings were scalloped. The tuners were changed once and you can see the filled screw holes, but they were changed back to the orignal tuners. The back of the neck has overspray and the top has finish checking, but it is in an excellent condition. The neck condition is great and it is comfortable to play. There is enough room on the saddle for further adjustment if necessary. The best feature of this guitar is "Sound"! It is played in very well and becasue the bracings have been scalloped, this guitar has powerful, open anc clear sound. Highly recommended for the player. The price of 1968 D-45 is over 6,000,000 yen now. So it is a great price to buy even with the modification made to the guitar.
