This is one of the last 1st generation Sabre basses ever made, its Sunburst finish has a rich color & is over a very grainey & quite colorful multi-piece Alder body dated June 6th, 1979, its maple neck is quite yellowed w/some players patina & is dated January 14th, 1980, it has a killer wide “C” shape to it that is quite cool from this pre-Ernie Ball period, 2 very powerful pickups that have both a Stingray tone but more importantly, she has a deep growly bottom end tone that is missing from any Stingray bass, owned & played by the bass player from “Iron Horse Band NJ” & she has a black pickgard that’s been stenciled over with the bands logo, but we are getting this removed as we speak & made original again, this C00 period bass is the very last of their best basses, is absolutely dead original in all respects, excellent overall & it comes w/its original hard case.
