OTENTIC T-RW (the rosewood sensation)
It is known that the typical sound of instruments made out of wood depends on the type of wood. The better the wood the more beautifull the sound and sustain. Java pallisandre is one of types of wood that is perfect for a warm and intense sound. Our contacts on the indonesian island Java delivered us first class rosewood with very nice brown and white grain.
Because this Java pallisandre wood is very heavy, we put sound chambers in the body to decrease the weight. These hollow chambers also add a lot of sustain and acoustic vibes to the sound of this guitar. And that makes it a unique instrument.
We had the idea to build a real vintage tele around this beautifull pallisandre body. We used a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard to complete the wooden part and used a vintage bridge with brass saddles, vintage kluson tuners and real fifties style handwound tele pickups. A black pickguard and chrome knobs added the rest of the looks to the T-RW.
The Otentic T-RW is available at Otentic now. But the production was limited to a series of 10 guitars. So if you want one, don't think too long...

The Otentic bodies and necks are produced with selected wood. We want the best wood with the nicest grain.
Bodies and necks we use are made with CNC equiped machines for perfect fit. Usage of these high quality parts to assemble our guitars and bassguitars allows us to offer YOU a perfect instrument for a reasonable price.
The pickups we use are handwound and made to Otentic's specifications. We use overwound pickups that give our instruments the real vintage tone and feel, but with a little extra bite.
And... we oil our guitars and bassguitars. We do NOT use any lacquer on body or neck. It's known that lacquer is a tone and sustain killer. The oil finish gives our instruments a richer sound, greater sustain and a smoother playability. And we think it's more environment friendly!
